"Galaxy Express 999" is a TV animated series that aired on Fuji TV from September 14, 1978, to March 26, 1981, comprising a total of 113 episodes along with 3 TV special episodes. The omnibus version was broadcast the following year in 1982. This release is a robust reissue of the LP album (CS-7096) released on February 1, 1979, featuring the theme song and insert song.
